On the outside of the tube bundle there are lifting and conveying shovels. They convey the product to be heated from the inlet side to the outlet side. During the drying process the material to be dried are lifted up from a trough and trickle due to gravity over the heated tubes back into the trough.

This system guarantees an very economical drying of the product, as it is a combined contact and convection-drying.

The water is evaporated and the vapour is sucked off by a ventilation fan.

The steam supply of the dryer is effected with an automatic rotary joint.

Another rotary joint discharges condensate.
